Physical description
Ganesha, standing: An unusual folkish figure of a two-armed standing Ganesha, holding a pot in his right hand and a long trident in his left. His short trunk hangs straight down and curls upwards. The three-pointed crown may be in Pahari style. He stands on a simple rectangular base. Brassy colour. little wear.
Object history note
Transferred from the India Museum to the South Kensington Museum (now the V&A) in 1870.
