CAKRASAMVARA STATUE IN GOLDEN BRONZE
NEPAL, BEGINNING OF THE XVII CENTURY
The figure is standing in Pratyalidhasana on two prostrate divinities on the lotus basis. His principle arms embrace his companion and hold the vajra and ghanta while his other arms radiate around his body. He wears a tiger-skirt, garland of his head and his jewellery is set with turquoise beads. His four-faced head displays severe expressions. A flaming mandola decorated with skulls is placed behind them; unsealed.
