Chintāmani Lokeśvara

Chintāmani Lokeśvara

Chintamani Lokeshvara is a rare form of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara that can only be found in Nepal. He is the personification of the Chintamani symbol of the same name, the “dream jewel”. This gem is believed to have the power to give its owner what he longs for, such as strength, prosperity, happiness and contentment. Chintamani is depicted here under a heavenly tree with garlands of jewels.
