- NOTE :
The Devi is seated in Lalitasana on a pierced lotus pedestal, with her left hand raised in Vitarka Mudra and her right hand lowered in Varada Mudra. Her head is surrounded by a flaming aureole, a third eye delicately incised on her forehead. She is heavily adorned with jewellery, including beaded necklaces and bracelets, foliate armbands, circular earrings and a five-pointed diadem. The sash falling from her shoulders billows out on both sides behind her. An unusual iconographical aspect of the bronze is that four further eyes are incised, one on each of her palms and on the soles of her feet, a detail that normally indicates a manifestation of White Tara. In this instance, however, these details may identify the deity as Indra's consort Indrani, with the eyes being used as a reference to Indra's thousand eyes, especially as the asana of royal ease would not be typical for Tara.
