Paramasukha Chakrasamvara and Vajravarahi

This fabric painting depicts the four-headed and twelve-armed Paramasukha Chakrasamvara (“who has integrated the wheel of bliss”), together with his female companion Vajravarahi (“diamond sow”), recognizable by the boar head on her right side of the head. The two-part Newari inscription gives the dating. Below is the patron deity Mahakala, on the left we see a priest with a companion and on the right five donors.
