Physical description

A typical example of Krishna, posed to play the flute, standing with the weight on his left leg and the right leg bent in front of the left. Wears a loincloth and jewellery, including a crown, with a high hair knot or boss. On a simplified round lotus base. Basic, heavy modelling, brass colour, a little wear.

Transferred from the India Museum, London, in 1879.
