Physical description
Nepali thangka showing the four-headed, eight-armed Manjusri with his consort Shakti; below a line of devotees with a colophon in Nepali script dated 982 Nepali samvat-i.e 982+ 879= 1861-2AD.
In style it has strong Orissan influence and was perhaps executed in Orissa for a Nepali community, taking Nepali scroll for model.
