TWO BANNERS APPEARING DIVINITY
NEPAL, XVII CENTURY
One banner depicts Bhairava dancing on a human figure. His four hands hold the prescribed attributes. The reverse shows the blue-coloured Kali dancing on a recumbent buffalo. The second banner depicts the four-armed Indra dancing on a white elephant while the reverse shows probably Shiva dancing on a buffalo, all on a mandola.
