Vajrayogini

Vajrayogini is the goddess who becomes a partner of practitioners in the scripture of the highest yoga tantra. Set within the decorative frame characteristic of of Paubha paintings, Vajrayogini holds a kartri in the right hand and a skull cup filled with blood in the left, flying in response to the practitioner’s call. At the bottom right, the Bajrayogini Temple in Sankhu located east of Kathmandu is painted with resemblance to the actual temple.
