STATUETTE OF TARA IN GOLDEN BRONZE
NEPAL, XVIII CENTURY
She is represented sitting in Lalitasana on a lotiform base. His right-hand holds a small vase and a lotus stalk blooming along his arm. His left hand is in Vitarkamudra. She is dressed in Sari and adorned with inlaid jewels. His face is serene. His hair is capped in a high bun with a small Buddha. The reverse of the base is incised with an inscription in Tibetan and Newari; unsealed; small accidents.
