Very finely and fluidly cast with the four-armed deity seated on a double-lotus base with beaded rim brandishing his sword, wearing a diaphanousdhoti incised with an intricate floral pattern, adorned with elaborate necklaces and armlets inlaid with hardstones, his face with a benign expression surmounted by a foliate tiara and his hair pulled into a high chignon, a lotus to his left supporting the book of wisdom, the base sealed 7¼ in. (18.4 cm.) high
