Finely cast standing in elegant Tribhanga holding the lotus, wearing a short Dhoti incised with dotted bands and secured with a bejeweled sash at the waist, armlets and elaborate necklace inset with semiprecious stones, his face with a benign expression with aquiline nose and downcast eyes surmounted by an intricate trefoil tiara, surmounting a stepped plinth clad with gilt copper repoussé on a wood core, and backed by an openwork Mandorla worked with addorsed peacocks issuing lotus scrolls within a flaming border, rising up to support a central image of Buddha Amitabha
