Physical description

Image of the Bodhisattva Vajrasattva, seated cross-legged on a circular pedestal decorated with lotus flowers and a pearl border at the front and a Tibetan inscription on the back. The right hand holds a vajra in front of his chest whilst the left hand, resting in his lap, holds a bell. He is wearing armbands, a long necklace of circular beads, a collar decorated with a scrolling pattern and an elaborate tiered crown tied by ribbons at the back of his head to which large circular pendants and ribbons are attached. Ribbon-like elements are draped over his arms and his long dhoti falls in folds around his legs.
