Physical description

Hanuman stands straight, with his palms together in anjali mudra. He wears a loincloth and jewellery, including a crown. His tail is rather individually depicted, rising behind his left shoulder. On a simple two tier flat octagonal base. Basic heavy modelling. Brass colour with some red lac. Little wear.

Transferred from the India Museum, London, in 1879.
