Item: Avalokiteshvara (Bodhisattva & Buddhist Deity) – Amoghapasha (Unfailing Lasso)

Amoghapasha, Five Deities, according to the Khache Panchen Shakyashri Bhadra Tradition. This form of Amoghapasha is described in the texts as accompanied by four retinue figures: yellow Manibhadra, green Tara, red Hayagriva and orange Bhrikuti. Only Tara is depicted in this composition.

At the top center is Medicine Buddha with Prajnaparamita on the viewer’s left and Chaturbhuja Avalokiteshvara on the right. To the right and left of the legs of the central figure are White and Green Tara. At the lower right and left are Blue Jambhala and Yellow Jambhala. At the bottom center is yellow Vasudhara with male donor figures seated on the left side and the female donors on the right.
