Physical description

A modest quality Venugopala image. As usual the hands are posed to play a (missing) flute and the legs are bent. He stands on a simplified lotus base and has a large “peacock feather” headdress. Brass colour with some red lac decoration, little wear.

Transferred from the India Museum, London in 1879.
